you will need:

hair longer than 3”
hairspray is optional, but useful for shorter hair
a small hat with a comb like one of
these
If you have shorter hair, it helps if you
use a fair amount of hairspray. Have your tiny hat ready. If
it doesn't have a comb you will need to sew one in.
If you wear your hair going back, you want
the comb to go forward, if you wear your hair going forward
you will push the comb into your hair going back.
Hold
your hair down behind the comb with your left hand, hold the
comb on the hat with your right hand. Hold the teeth of the
comb toward your scalp at an angle. If you are left handed
you might reverse hands on this step.
Push the comb slowly into the hair, the
shape of the teeth of the comb will hold the hair.

You may have to practice putting in the comb/hat a few times
before you get the hang of it. Practice in front of the
mirror. When it is in right it will feel snug and secure for
hours.
We like to wear our tiny hats more to the
front over the forehead.
